Compact riflescopes

Compact riflescopes are shorter and lighter than standard scopes. They suit rimfire rifles such as the CZ 457, light hunting rifles, carbines and air guns, where a long scope would upset the balance. Here you find compact scopes from Vector Optics and Sightmark.

Low power variable scopes

Scopes that start at 1x let you shoot with both eyes open at short range and zoom in for longer shots. You can choose the Vector Optics Constantine 1-8x24 and 1-10x24 in FFP or SFP, also with a fiber centre dot, the Continental 1-8x24 and 1-10x24 with ED glass and fiber reticles, the Continental x10 1-10x28 ED with a 34 mm tube, and the Sightmark Strikon VMP 1-4x22.

Hunting and all-round scopes

For hunting and target shooting at normal distances you can choose the Vector Optics Matiz 2-7x32, 3-9x40, 3-9x50 and 4-12x40, the Hugo 3-12x40 and 3-12x44, and the Veyron 2-8x32 and 3-12x44 in FFP or SFP. Most Matiz models and some Hugo models have a 1 inch tube, which keeps them light.

Higher magnification

For varmint and precision shooting you can choose the Vector Optics Veyron 4-16x44 and 6-24x44 with an illuminated reticle, the Continental x8 2-16x44 ED, the Continental x6 2-12x44, and the Orion Pro MAX 3-18x50 HD. Fixed power options include the Veyron 10x44 and the Veyron Plus 10x30.

Check the tube diameter and order matching rings, see Scope rings. All scopes are in Riflescopes.

Frequently asked questions

Which compact scope suits my CZ 457?

It depends on the distance. For training and hunting up to normal distances, a 3-9x or 3-12x scope such as the Matiz, Hugo or Veyron fits well. For precision shooting at longer range, choose a Veyron 4-16x44 or 6-24x44.
